IMPACT OF THE AGING process
Our premium tequila is aged in oak barrels allowing the tequila over time to interact with the wood, absorbing compounds that contribute to its flavor profile, such as vanilla, caramel and spices; along with changing the color of the liquid as it rests in the barrel.
The benefits of this aging process allows the tequila to soften, reduce harshness and adds complexity to the flavor, creating a smoother, more pleasant tasting spirit the longer it is aged (see below for the aging classifications).
And an important aspect of our tequila is using barrels that had previously aged unique spirits or fine wines (e.g. bourbon, whiskey, chardonnay) further enhancing the flavor profile of the tequila.
Because the barrel and resting time is so important to the tequila making process, a batch number is included on each bottle allowing you to visit our "Barrel and Batches" page of our website to learn more about what makes your bottle so special.
