Our tequila is aged in oak barrels which were previously used to age premium spirits and fine wines (e.g. bourbon, whiskey, chardonnay). The aging process allows the tequila to absorb compounds from the wood influencing its color, aroma and flavor.

The spirit or wine that was previously aged in the barrel will infuse subtle taste profiles into our tequila and the length of time we allow the tequila to rest in the barrel enhances the flavor as time passes.

Barrel Series & Batch Release

When purchasing barrels, we focus on acquiring multiple barrels that that had previously been used to age premium spirits or fine wines. We refer to each purchase as a “Barrel Series”.

One Barrel Series may have previously aged premium bourbon enhancing the oak and vanilla profile of the batch and then in the next Barrel Series, chardonnay may have been aged giving the taste more of a fruity and sweet profile. We then allow the tequila to rest in the barrels and bottle at different points of the aging process. Each bottle release is referred to as a “Batch”.

Each of our bottles contain the Barrel Series and Batch number on the front lower part of our label. Below you will find information related to your bottle and the Batch it originated from allowing you to further understand the unique flavor profile and the resting period of the tequila you are enjoying.
