Our tequila is aged in oak barrels which were previously used to age premium spirits and fine wines (e.g. bourbon, whiskey, chardonnay). The aging process allows the tequila to absorb compounds from the wood influencing its color, aroma and flavor.

The spirit or wine that was previously aged in the barrel will infuse subtle taste profiles into our tequila and the length of time we allow the tequila to rest in the barrel enhances the flavor as time passes.

Barrel Series & Batch Release

When purchasing barrels to age our tequila, we specifically seek oak barrels that had previously aged premium spirits or fine wines which help enhance the flavors of our tequila and creates unique flavor profile. We purchase multiple barrels at a time and we designate them as a "Barrel Series". One Barrel Series may have previously aged premium bourbon enhancing the oak and vanilla profile of the batch and then in the next Barrel Series, chardonnay may have been aged giving the taste more of a fruity and sweet profile. Another very important aspect of the flavor profile is how long the tequila has rested in the barrel.

Because the aging process and barrel are so important to the flavor, we've dedicated this page to provide information about each Barrel Series and Batch Release.

Each bottle has the Batch Release number printed on the label so our customers can learn more about the unique flavor profile and the resting period of the tequila they are enjoying.
