Spirit of the Great Lakes Tequila was born from a unique idea: to bridge the time-honored tequila-making traditions of Jalisco, Mexico with the deeply rooted values of the Great Lakes and Midwest.
We are guided by what the Midwest stands for: honesty, hard work, loyalty, and community. Principles that are rooted in each distillery we have chosen to produce our Tequila.

Just like the Great Lakes, our tequila runs deep. Inspired by the region’s natural beauty, resilience, and strong sense of place.
Our tequila provides exceptional flavor and smoothness in taste because the focus is on quality, not quantity. We start by using 100% blue agave from the highland region of Jalisco, Mexico, then traditional distilling methods, mastered over multiple generations, transforms the agave into premium tequila that is additive free. We rest our tequila in barrels previously used to age premium spirits and wines that create subtle differences in flavor profiles making each batch of our premium tequila unique (see the Barrel & Batches page).
